Ok, I am clear, now what?
You may be asking this question if you are clear on what is most important to you, but don’t know what that looks like on a practical basis.
Maybe you feel like there are too many options, too many great things you could do, or overlapping things that all feel just as important.
So what do you choose?
How do you decide which “great” thing you will choose first? And which “great” thing should you say no to?
Will it confuse you if I say, “I don’t know”?
Honestly, there is no right answer. It is not a one time thing, but rather a journey. That is why I created our Bloom membership. (more on that at the end of the post)
How do you practically balance your top 5 core values with passion and purpose?
How do you as a young Mom know what to say no to, and where to get involved, when you feel pulled in every direction?
How do you as a working Mom know where to balance your best at work, and your all at home?
How do you as an empty nester know how to realign your roles and time, to live your fullest potential and purpose in this uncertain time and season?
How do you know what is next, and how to ensure you are living your best you moving into a season that brings many changes, like retirement or job change?
Quick answer … in baby steps, and one discovery and realignment at a time.
Here are some things to remember as you try to align your time and values:
*Remember that you learn and grow by moving. Often the best way we learn and gain clarity is through trying and realigning. Movement creates confidence because you gain as you move.
*Recognizing that you have the same 24 hours in a day as anyone else. Let’s be honest, so much of what we do is because we think we should. If you are feeling overwhelmed or are questioning if you should do something, you probably are doing it for the wrong reasons. Not always, sometimes you just need to gain some clarity, but the questioning is the first prompt to take a second look at why you are saying yes.
*Realizing that you can’t do it all … no one can. This is probably one of the hardest ones to accept. We as women gain so much of our acceptance and security through our roles and accomplishments. It’s hard to say no. I mean, what kind of good woman says no to great things? The woman who is clear on who she is, and who she was made to me. That clarity, the clarity of who God made her to be, is what will give the confidence to allow others to be who they were made to be too. We are unique, beautifully unique. We were not created to do it all, or to hurry around all the time. So often, we get more confused the more we run.
*Reassess as you go. You will never get it right 100% the first time. We can come to realizations and clarity and begin to cut out, and add in what we need to, but it doesn’t happen all at once. So take a baby step, and then reassess. Take another baby step, and reassess. I promise you … you keep doing that and you will end up living in the clarity that brings the confidence to move forward aligned and focused on what is most important to you.
The big trick is to not think it will come easy, and over night.
I created our Bloom membership to give you a mentorship program that would give not only a core path, but weekly content to help you do just that, move one step at a time. Our lives are a journey, so why would we think change would be instant? Thriving and flourishing as we grow takes approaching each new season in our life just like we would planting a garden. Determine the landscape, plant the seeds, and then water and prune, water and prune. That’s how you bloom right where you are and flourish forward.
By the way, our Bloom membership is still open and will be until the end of March. Come join in on the growth. We are stronger together, and when we grow together, we bloom brighter, and empower each other to redesign and realign as our best!
