Do you feel like you are constantly looking forward, and yet trying to act in the now?

You know, that feeling of a pull between showing up today as your best, and dreaming big?

Or maybe you are content where you are and lack the urgency to change your good thing.

Why change a good thing, right?

Truth?  Changing a good thing is a great thing!

We can never stay exactly where we are, that is something we have seen with blatant clarity in the past few years!

Your growth forward begins with where you are today.

To get to tomorrow, you need to start today.

To get to where you want to be a year from now, you need to start today.

To get to where you want to be 5 years from now, yup, you guessed it, you need to start today.

So what does that mean for today?

It leaves a need for focus that we don’t want to skim over.

They say that what you appreciate, appreciates.

If you appreciate your marriage and intentionally focus on how you can love well, support well, and encourage well … then your marriage will appreciate.  It will grow.  Not because you said you appreciate it, but because your appreciation gave the reason to invest in it.

If you appreciate a good friendship, you put the time into getting together and keeping in contact.

If someone said they appreciate you, but never did anything that reflected or showed that appreciation … well, you wouldn’t feel very appreciated!

If you never tend to your garden the weeds will overtake it.

What you appreciate, appreciates.

Now add that to – to get to “there” you need to start “here”.

To dream big, lead your life, and go for your potential you need to start with appreciating your here.

Find the delight in your right here …

To know where you have come from that brought you to today and use the awareness and appreciation of your “here” to help you flourish forward into your “there”.

Appreciate today, then gain the clarity of your desired there and the why behind it, and confidence will come to get you there.

One baby step at a time.

From here to there.

To where you want to be and who you want to be.

The only thing stopping you is wishing you were somewhere else.  Thinking you should be somewhere else.  Hoping you were somewhere else.

To move forward with purpose we need to appreciate where we are today.

What you appreciate, appreciates!
